Children do not have to be able to read to have their eyes examined.
It is possible to see whether the child has an eye turn, or needs spectacles, without asking them any questions, using age appropriate tests and equipment.
Eye examinations do not hurt and children often really enjoy them. Parents can be present during testing and we welcome any questions or concerns you may have relating to your child's eye health.
Dyslexia is a learning disability that affects between 5 and 10 percent of the population. A person with dyslexia has difficulty ‘decoding’ words when reading or expressing themselves when writing.
There are several factors or problems that are more likely to be present in a dyslexic population than in a non-dyslexic population, which are connected to vision and it is these which we,at Kingsley Opticians, are interested in. We conduct several in- depth tests to cover any possible issuses.
